San Vito lo Capo; the beach

The coast of the fishing village extends itself for 3 km. In 2011 it was recognized as the best beach in Italy, but its exceptional feature is the quality of its sand, which is unique in Europe and is entirely composed of organic residues and mainly shells and corals. In this strip of golden sand enclosed between the top of Capo San Vito and Punta Solanto events are held of international interest that promote interculturality and the local gastronomic tradition as the "Cous Cous fest" and "Tempi ri Capuna".
